Huge thank you to our Law Enforcement partners, sponsors, volunteers, athletes and the nearly 250 people who came out to run or walk at the 2013 6K on the Busway.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Committee for Special Olympics PA and the City of Pittsburgh Citiparks hosted the 2013 6K on the Busway Run/Walk, Presented by UPMC and Sheetz, on Sunday, May 19, 2013. 6K on the Busway, a “sister” event to the law enforcement “Be A Fan” Torch Run, was open to runners and walkers of all ages and levels. Bob McLaughlin from 105.9’s The X Morning Show served as the event emcee, and County Executive Rich Fitzgerald served as the Honorary Race Starter.
Nearly 250 runners and walkers participated in the 6K. To date, the LETR committee has raised over $1,000,000 in the last three years in Western PA alone for Special Olympics PA.
