Thank you to the members of the Philadelphia Police Department and other local law enforcement partners, including our SOPA athletes, event sponsors, political supporters, civic leaders and the surrounding community, for participating in the Unified Fall Festival Torch Run on November 10th. The Unified Torch Run is a segmented non-competitive run (approx. 26 miles in total) with 18 segments that also serves as a run in memory of fallen officers from across the state, and officially ends when the Flame of Hope lights the cauldron during the Fall Festival Opening Ceremonies at Villanova University.

The Run kicked-off from Citizens Bank Park before weaving its way throughout the city to the Philadelphia Art Museum. After traversing nearly 13 miles of the city, the run headed into Bala Cynwyd and through the heart of the Main Line to Villanova, PA. All proceeds benefit SOPA and the largest student run Special Olympics event in the world, the annual Fall Festival at Villanova University.
