A “Cool School Team” is a team of your classmates, teachers, friends, or family who plunge together and raise money together! The Polar Plunge is a great team-building experience and opportunity to strengthen your school community by working together to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics athletes – including those in your own school! It’s tons of fun... and plunging and fundraising is way more fun in groups! 

It’s easy to form a “Cool School Team!”

  • Choose a Team Captain – a cool teacher, coach, advisor or other faculty member
  • Pick a cool team name
  • Grab 10 classmates, teachers, co-workers, friends and family and Sign up now!
    • Registration is free for students!
    • Team members commit to raise a minimum of $35
    • Don’t want to plunge? You can still be a “Too Chicken,” even on a “Cool School Team!”
  • Challenge rival schools or clubs within your own school to Plunge! The team that raises the most money will be crowned top “Cool School” and will win a trophy for display and ULTIMATE bragging rights!
  • All students under 18 years old must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event. Print Waiver.
