Sports Offered

Special Olympics Lawrence County (SOLC) athletes compete in individual and team sports at local and state-level events. Competitions use a unique divisioning system that ensures every athlete a reasonable chance to win.

Training is an essential element of Special Olympics. SOLC athletes are prepared physically and psychologically by completing eight weeks of training prior to competing. All training takes place locally and is offered to athletes free of charge.
