2013 "Be a Fan" Torch Run
June 4 - 6, 2013
On Tuesday, June 4, 2013, the 3rd Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run will start at home plate in PNC Park in Pittsburgh and end at home plate in Medlar Field in State College on Thursday, June 6th. Running to home plate, over 50 Law Enforcement Teams and over 350 Law enforcement members have committed to “own” a 3+ mile leg of the 150 mile stretch – working as a group to reach Medlar Field in time for the Opening Ceremonies for Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s Summer Games! In just two years, the “Be a Fan” Torch Run and Law Enforcement Groups raised over $120,000 in support of over 20,000 Special Olympics PA athletes.
