The Polar Bear Plunge (or Polar Plunge) is a fundraising event that challenges an individual or group to enter into a cold body of water in order to raise money for Special Olympics. Plunge participants set a fundraising goal and get pledges from family, friends and colleagues for their commitment to be “freezin' for a reason.”

A new Blue White Weekend tradition continues! Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities will take part in the Third Annual Beaver Stadium 5K Run/Family Fun Walk at Penn State University on Sunday, April 22, 2012 to benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania. The Run will begin in front of the Bryce Jordan Center (BJC) on Curtin Road, move through Penn State’s scenic campus, and conclude with runners racing through the Beaver Stadium Tunnel and onto the Nittany Lions’ home turf to the finish line.
