2012 Eastern Polar Plunge Brings In More Than $160K!

More than 700 brave souls, including members of law enforcement, took a dip into the “cool” waters of the Delaware River and were “freezin’ for a reason” during the fourth-annual Eastern Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Neshaminy State Park in Bensalem, PA. Hundreds more were there to watch as individuals and teams spent a few moments in the cold to warm the hearts of thousands.
The Fourth Annual Eastern Polar Bear Plunge raised over $160,000 benefitting more than 20,000 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes. Celebrity Plunger Dan Klecko, a defensive tackle who has been a part of three Super Bowl Champion teams and is a current SportsRadio 94 WIP co-host, helped to kick the event off.
