On Saturday, August 21st and Sunday, August 22nd, thousands of motorcycle and car enthusiasts throughout the Northeast will head out on the road for Dream Ride 2010, a charity motorcycle ride and car show benefitting Special Olympics.  Bozzuto’s Inc. and The Hometown Foundations Inc. team once again are leaders of the pack for this charity ride. 

dreamrideheader2Motorcycle rides will start both days from 17 satellite start locations around New England, including  one in Pennsylvania.   Riders participating to benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania will begin their ride on August 21st at Hurley’s Warehouse at Corner of Pine St. and Merrill Parkway in Towanda, PA 18848.  The Dream Ride will leave from Towanda at 10 a.m. with breakfast and registration to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Last year, more than 10,000 participants from across Connecticut participated in Dream Ride 2009 helping raise more than $800,000.  Other satellite states include:  Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, and New York. That weekend, all roads will lead to The Farmington Club in Farmington, CT for the 2010 Dream Ride and Car Show.  All participants will be treated to a Black Angus strip steak & boneless chicken breast lunch along with live music and vendors.

Celebrating its 29th anniversary in 2010, the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle encompassing a variety of events supporting Special Olympics including Torch Runs, Polar Plunge® events, and the World’s Largest Truck Convoy®.  Since its inception in 1981 the Torch Run has raised more than $270 million for Special Olympics athletes.
