Please read the descriptions below for our new on-line training programs.

PROTECTIVE BEHAVIORS ONLINE TRAINING

SOPA is offering protective behaviors online training on behalf of the Special Olympics U.S. Risk Management and Insurance Task Force.  The new online version of the Protective Behaviors training will replace all previous protective behavior materials.  Unlike General Orientation, Protective Behaviors online training must be completed at least once every three years

Note: this training must be completed by all new and existing Class A volunteers (i.e. coaches and staff) by December 31, 2007.

GENERAL ORIENTATION ONLINE TRAINING

All volunteers must have General Orientation Training at least once during their SO volunteer experience. This session DOES NOT have to be repeated with every certification for coaching.

This basic introduction to Special Olympics Pennsylvania covers:

• Special Olympics Mission and Philosophy
• Athlete Eligibility
• Administrative Duties of a Coach
